Set your coffee pot to be ready when you wake up, don’t look at your phone until you’ve made a goal for the day, pick a song to listen to that makes you happy.

When I was going through some tough postpartum depression and had my infant son at home, the days all blended together in a isolated stressful mess of task after unfinished task. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One day I decided to make a morning playlist, just three songs was all I could decide on.

Every morning after that me with my baby boy in my arms would dance around the kitchen for our morning playlist.

Those three songs made such a huge difference in our lives. It made a difference in the way I enjoy being in the moment with my son. Seeing his happy face, because I finally had a happy smile.

A year later,when we hear those songs, he asks the be held, reaches for my hand and we still dance?
